Press reports on FMP’s April 15 debate: “Is media jingoism fanning Indo-Pak tensions?”
Testimonials from two of our Pakistani guests: here , here and here
The Times of India (Note: This story exaggerated the impact of the gratuitous clapping and slogan shouting on the meeting. Since the miscreants were quickly ejected from the hall, Rahimullah Yusufzai did not have to interrupt his speech beyond a few seconds, as indicated by reports elsewhere. TOI also got the timing of the interruption wrong: as evident again from other reports, it happened when Yusufzai was quoting from an article by a Bengaluru-based academic suggesting an array of actions against Pakistan.)
The International News, Pakistan
The Nation, Pakistan (Note: This report was wrong in claiming that visiting Pakistani journalists had been “manhandled”. There was actually no scope for any physical contact as the speakers on the dais and the handful of miscreants that were there happened to be at the opposite ends of a jam-packed hall.)
PS: Here’s an inhouse account of the debate with pictures.
