Aditi Phadnis Mehta
Aditi Phadnis Mehta is responsible for coordinating all the political coverage for business paper- understanding the implications of economic decisions on politics, diplomacy and defence. Mehta came to Business Standard in 2000 from weekly news magazine Sunday. Before that she was with The Independent, The Indian Post and Newstime , all dailies. She began her career in journalism in 1983. Mehta received her bachelor’s degree in History from Miranda House, Delhi University. Being of a restless disposition, she did not study further, something she has never ceased to regret. If she hadn’t been a reporter, she would have been a professional cook. She enjoys classical music and pulp fiction. But most of all she is endlessly fascinated by the dark, arcane, complex world of power politics.

In 1990, became editor of Gokulam, a monthly English Magazine for children from The Kalki Group. Moved to The Economics Times to edit ET Madras Plus, a city centric features supplement, from 1996-2004. A brief stint in Satyam Computers in HR to co-ordinate and drive their diversity function, from 2004-2006. Back with The Times Group as their Editor supplements for response in Chennai from 2006-2008. In April 2008, began Sandhya Sridhar Synergies, an independent outfit to provide content for features of varied kinds. Currently providing co-ordination for The Hindu Retail Plus supplement in Chennai that appears on Sunday, as well as their various special features.

Abhinandan Sekhri

Shailendra’s first love has always been stock markets. Sagarika started her career with the Times of India in 1991, was part of Outlook’s start-up team, and while at Indian Express was selected to anchor BBC’s Question Time India. She currently anchors a talk show on CNN-IBN. Sagarika writes a column for the Hindustan Times but finds the pace of television quite challenging.

Rupashree Nanda
She is a journalist with CNN-IBN. She did her Masters in English from Utkal Unversity, Bhubaneshwar, and Masters in Mass Communication from Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi. Right after college, she says, she devoted all her energy to making a film, Harvest of Hunger. Actionaid sponsored it. The film went on to win two national awards, one for best investigative documentary and another for best editing. It was also in the race for the best first film and best camera work. Rupashree is winner of the Chameli Devi award for best woman journalist.
